A keynote lecture by Dean Yoko Hamada will set a tone to explore environment and information studies at SFC. The lecture illustrates current research issues and on-going activities around us. A general introduction to the course will also be provided.
第2回 Learning pattern workshop

第3回 Why Mutually-Built Architecture?
Student Build Campus (SBC) and Veneer House projects pursue to revitalise and enforce communities and to create new value in the environment. They are involved in communication-based social, cultural, and spatial design stemming from the micro-culture of an area and the traits that compose its rich sense of place in local society.
第4回 ICT Workshop
A hands-on course of Computer science, Computer Engineering and ICT.
第5回 Music and the Body/Brain Study Workshop
When I was a student, I went to a jazz bar almost every day to play drums. I started my research because I was curious about how skilled musicians control their body movements. In this workshop, I will give you a short lecture on the body/brain of musicians. Next, you will learn how to conduct a small experiment on fine motor skills of musicians and non-musicians. A take-home message in this workshop is that your curiosity in everyday life will create the future of environment and information studies.
第6回 CRISPR-Cas: Monster or Miracle?
The CRISPR-Cas system is very simple yet incredibly powerful new genetic
tool and allows permanent modification of genes within organisms. However,
it is thought that this technology in the hands of a mad person is more
dangerous than all human weapons combined. I hope that all of the SFC
students should share collect knowledge about this technique and address
suitable way for bright future with this super revolutionary transgenic
第7回 Creating an Alternative World -How to Survive in the Earthquake Country-
Ugh, I overslept. By now I should be leaving. I’m in such a bad mood, I can
feel it. I get ready in a hurry and run out the door. I don't bother saying
goodbye to my mom.
I get on the train and head to school. I’m running late so I take a
different route from what I usually take. A little after being on the
unfamiliar Denentoshi Line, the train screeches and halts to an emergency
stop. Could it be an accident? Just as this crosses my mind, the train
begins to sway... It’s an earthquake!
Now, how would you continue this story?
—— It’s not too late to make a change.
