This course will introduce mathematics that is essentially needed to study change in a quantity and will cover fundamentals of calculus, which is essentially important for various research fields. Students are required to think deeply about the concepts of calculus including fundamentals of derivatives and integrals. This class also emphasizes the processes of problem solving. Therefore, students are going to work on exercises or homework assignments during the course and have a final exam at the end of semester.

Introductory level of high-school mathematics
(14 rules and regulations) In order to register the Subjects of Data Science, students need to earn credits for "Basics of Data Science" or pass the "Data Science Qualification Examination".
